Home: Meet New Pen Pals

Every day, Home recommends a batch of people you can write to. When someone catches your eye, open their profile or write to them right away.

Where to find it

The Home (「首页」) tab at the bottom.

Steps

  1. At the top of Home is the Drift Letter (「漂流信」) entry, and below it are the pen pal cards. Each card shows a pen name, location, a one-line intro, and tags such as interests and MBTI. At the bottom of the card, it also tells you how many interests and languages you have in common. Tap a card to open that person's profile. The small pen icon at the top right of the card lets you write to them directly.

  2. Met today (「今日遇见」) at the top left is today's recommendation quota, for example 1/200. Tap it to open People you viewed in the last 7 days (「近 7 天了解过的人」), which lists everyone you've already looked at so you can find them again.

  3. The funnel icon at the top right is the Filter (「过滤器」). You can filter recommendations by gender, region, age group, MBTI, star sign, interests, and language. You can also turn on conditions such as With intro letter (「有简介信」), Online in 24h (「24小时内上线过」), and New (「新加入」). Conditions marked Max need a Max membership. When you've set it up, tap Confirm (「确认」).

  4. You can narrow the region down to country, province, and city. Tap Province (「省份」), choose a province, then tap Confirm at the top right.

If you don't want to see a certain kind of recommendation, tap the "…" at the top right of the card and choose a reason: Age doesn't fit (「年龄不合适」), Location doesn't fit (「地区不合适」), Interests don't match (「兴趣不符」), or another reason. After you choose, you'll see fewer people like this in your recommendations.

The recommendation list refreshes based on your filters. There is a daily limit on recommendations, which resets at midnight the next day.

FAQ

What if I've used up my recommendations? They refresh at midnight tomorrow. You can also try other features in Discover, such as Drift Letter and Auto Match.

Will people I've already viewed show up again? People you've viewed recently go into People you viewed in the last 7 days, so they don't keep taking up recommendation slots.
